Terms of service
Last updated: October 27, 2026
Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply when you visit the Fairway Frame online store or buy from us. "We," "us," and "our" mean Fairway Frame; "you" means you, the visitor or customer. By using the store or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and our Refund Policy. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. If you don't agree, please don't use the store or place an order.
Our products
Made to order
Every poster is made to order in the style, size, and frame option you choose, with your personalization if you add any.
Colors on screen
We try to show our products accurately, but colors look different on different screens, so your print may not exactly match what you see.
About the maps and scorecards
Our posters are artistic representations based on OpenStreetMap map data and published course information. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL).
No affiliation
Fairway Frame is an independent business. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any golf course or club shown on our products, or by OpenStreetMap or OpenGolfAPI. Course names and any related trademarks belong to their respective owners, and we use them only to identify the course a poster shows.
Personalization
You can choose to add up to 80 characters of your own text to your poster, including spaces. Here's how it works:
- Your text is printed in capital letters beneath the course location.
- We print it exactly as you enter it, with a few automatic changes. We replace repeated spaces with a single space and remove any < and > characters. We also remove emoji and any other characters our font can't print. We don't proofread or correct spelling, names, dates, or scores.
- You're responsible for checking that your text is accurate before you place your order. Mistakes in text you entered aren't our error and aren't covered by our Refund Policy. If you spot a mistake after ordering, see "Changing or canceling your order" below.
- You confirm that you have the right to use the text you provide and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.
- You give us permission to use your text to make and ship your order.
If we believe your text is unlawful, hateful, obscene, harassing, or infringing, we may cancel your order and refund it in full.
Orders, pricing, and availability
We work to keep product descriptions, images, prices, and availability accurate, but mistakes can happen. We may:
- correct errors in prices, descriptions, or availability on the store; and
- refuse or cancel any order or part of an order, for example if a price was listed incorrectly, a product or option isn't available, or we suspect fraud.
If we cancel your order, we'll let you know and refund it in full, including shipping and tax. If we cancel only part of your order, we'll refund what you paid for the canceled items. Prices may change at any time, but a change won't affect an order you've already placed.
Changing or canceling your order
You can change or cancel your order within 1 hour of placing it. To do this, email us at help@thefairwayframe.com with your order number. If you cancel within that 1 hour, we'll refund your order in full, including shipping and tax. After 1 hour, your order is in production and can't be changed or canceled.
If we can't ship your order when expected, we'll email you. You can then choose to cancel for a full refund, even if more than 1 hour has passed since you ordered.
Payment and taxes
Payments are processed through Shopify's checkout, and the payment methods we accept are shown there. All prices are in U.S. dollars. Sales tax, where it applies, is calculated at checkout and added to your order total. By submitting payment, you confirm that you're authorized to use the payment method you provide.
Shipping and delivery
- We ship only to addresses in the lower 48 U.S. states and Washington, D.C. We don't ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or APO/FPO/DPO addresses. Shipping rates are shown at checkout before you pay.
- Because each poster is made to order, it needs to be produced before it ships. Any production or delivery times we give are estimates, not guarantees, and carrier delays are outside our control. If we can't ship your order when expected, see "Changing or canceling your order" above.
- If your package seems lost, or it's marked delivered but you haven't received it, email us at help@thefairwayframe.com with your order number. If the carrier confirms your package is lost, we'll reprint and reship your order once, at no cost to you. The same applies if your package is marked delivered but never arrives, and the carrier's trace confirms this. Orders sent to an incorrect address entered at checkout aren't covered.
- Problem with a delivered order? See "Returns and refunds" below.
Returns and refunds
Because every print is made to order (and may be personalized), we don't accept returns or exchanges. That includes changes of mind, choosing the wrong size, style, or frame, and mistakes in personalization text you entered.
If your order arrives damaged or defective, or isn't what you ordered because of our error, email us at help@thefairwayframe.com within 30 days of delivery. Include your order number and photos of the problem. We'll reprint the affected item(s) and reship them at no cost to you. If a reprint isn't possible, we'll refund the affected item(s) instead. We decide between a reprint and a refund, and we reprint by default. You don't need to send anything back.
Refunds go back to your original payment method. Full details are in our Refund Policy, which is part of these Terms. If anything here conflicts with the Refund Policy about damaged, defective, or incorrect orders, the Refund Policy applies.
Intellectual property
- Our poster designs and artwork are © Fairway Frame and are protected by copyright law.
- Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL). See openstreetmap.org/copyright.
- Scorecard details come from OpenGolfAPI and other published course information. OpenGolfAPI data is available under the Open Database License (ODbL).
- When you buy a print, you own that physical print, but not the copyright in its design. You may not copy, scan, reproduce, or sell reproductions of our designs without our written permission.
Nothing in these Terms limits anyone's rights under the ODbL to use the underlying OpenStreetMap or OpenGolfAPI data itself.
Privacy
How we collect, use, and protect your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
What we don't guarantee
We don't guarantee that the store will always be available or error-free. What we'll do if a print arrives damaged, defective, or wrong is described in our Refund Policy.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law:
- Fairway Frame is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, arising out of or related to your use of the store or our products.
- Our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
This doesn't limit our liability for personal injury or for anything else that can't be limited by law. Some states don't allow certain limits on liability, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived by agreement.
Governing law and severability
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest of the Terms stays in effect.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll post the new version on this page and change the "Last updated" date above. The Terms in effect when you place an order apply to that order. If you keep using the store after changes are posted, you accept the updated Terms.
